Winnipeg Family Life Celebrant

Hi! I’m Colleen and I am very nostalgic. The jacket I am wearing was sewn by my Mom when I was a young teenager. She was always so proud of this jacket, as am I.

  • Love meeting new people

  • Moved to Winnipeg right after graduation

  • Schooling was Success Commercial College

  • First employment — Public Press, MPIC, Fillmore & Riley Law Firm

  • In Brandon I worked at Brandon Court House

  • Enjoyed curling, slow pitch, running, biking and 2 Little Sister matches in Brandon

  • Appointed a Province of Manitoba Marriage Commissioner in 1993

  • In September 2022 I officiated at ceremony #2000

  • Currently live in Osborne Village with my husband Vern

Some fun facts about Colleen

  • My favourite meal at any time of the day is called ‘dessert’

  • My favourite meal in a restaurant is called ‘breakfast’

  • My favourite drink in mornings is black coffee

  • And my favourite colour for anything clothing is also black

  • I am often multi-tasking — when I am watching TV you will find me either working on my computer or doing a Sudoko puzzle

  • Walking to work downtown for 16 years is the equivalent of walking across Canada twice and part-way into a third trip — and I did it!

A bit more about Colleen:

I am caring, friendly, open and a great listener.

My friends and colleagues have praised my warm sense of humour,

calm demeanour, thoughtfulness and patience.

AND —  I REALLY LOVE WHAT I DO!

p.s. This is my wedding dress from 1998. Wore it in 2022 photo shoot!
