The most important thing for me, as a Marriage Commissioner, is that you have exactly what you are looking for in your wedding ceremony.
Your wedding is a special event that should reflect your love and feelings for each other, and your own unique style. I will work with you to create and perform a personalized ceremony in the location of your choice. My goal is to support you and guide you through your wedding day so that it is enjoyable, memorable and everything you hoped for.
I am able to offer advice on different types of rehearsals and ceremonies in many locations around Manitoba. I have worked with many venues, wedding planners, photographers, musicians, florists and other professionals. I will ensure everyone knows what is going to happen in your ceremony, give cues and otherwise help you to have a well-organized day. I love meeting new people and I will treat you as my own friend or family. During preparations I will always be available to answer any questions you have.
I have a wealth of experience with couples of many cultural backgrounds. I welcome opposite-sex and same-sex couples and am open to performing ceremonies from a variety of belief systems (religious, spiritual, civic, etc.). I will always be respectful of your wishes. I pay attention to details. On your wedding day, I take pride in providing you with the extra-special attention that you deserve. I am always prepared to help out — if someone needs a mint or gum, lint removed from a groomsmen’s suit, a boutonniere or corsage pinned on. At one wedding a groomsman passed me his tuxedo pants so I could sew a ripped seam! At another wedding I dug in the dirt to hide an orange extension cord so it wouldn’t show in wedding pictures.
I would love to be part of your so-special day!

Ceremony & Vow Renewal
I will send you a confirmation email so you know I am committed to performing your ceremony. Three or four months before your wedding date I will meet with you so we can talk about your ceremony and you will have some information so you can start to compose your ceremony.
I encourage you to send me any questions you have at any time and I will answer promptly.
Make sure to have a rehearsal, and your guests will remember your ceremony as being smooth and seamless! Everyone will know when to walk, where to stand, how to get to the signing table, how to walk out, etc.
Rehearsals are very important if you are having two or more attendants on each side and/or there are children in your wedding party.
Some couples who are planning a destination wedding or who just want to be legally married will have a short & simple legality ceremony. Please note, this ceremony is very short with no ring exchange or personal vows said.
You will each make two declarations and we’ll sign the marriage registration paper to make it official!
I do require a non-refundable $150.00 deposit to book a date.
